Fitness Atlantic from Mr. CT to Now

Published: Fri, 02/08/13

Dear Fellow Athlete,

Hope everything is going well in your workouts.

If you leave near me you may be getting hit with a snow storm today?

Things have been super busy lately getting all of the event details set up and rolling. I hired Shaun T the creator of Insanity and sold out the workout.

And right now it's going on 9 Weeks out to the next fitness show I am producing. It's the 15th Annual Fitness Atlantic and contestants are signing up and tickets just went on sale now so incredible seats are available.

I remember back when I was 20 years old and started training for my first competition the Mr. CT. I remember how motivated and nervous I was and how I felt but I knew that there are only two options regarding my commitment. I was either in or out. There's no such thing as a life in-between. At 12 weeks out from the event I mailed in my entry form.

As I got closer to the show I had called the show promoter about tickets he had told me that when I was going to go to his gym and pick the tickets up that he would help me with mandatory poses. When I got there I met Fred Yale for the first time and he quickly took me through the poses and gave me a print out of how to do them. I really appreciated the fact that the guy that runs the whole show spent time helping me out because I wasn't a top contender and I had no experience. This taught me that good promoters train contestants, care about them, and make winners out of them... and that if you treat the athletes' right they'll come back.

This past Monday I was asked by the Professor of Exercise Science to speak at Southern Connecticut State University to the students. Being involved in the fitness industry for 22 years is a great passion and I'm happy to share it wit you and as many people as I can.

Look forward too seeing you reach your goals!

Thank You,

Brian Cannone
