online debate shenanigans

This is craziness:

There is a magazine owner right now questioning his friends on Facebook as to whether or not fitness event federation organizers should allow their "Pro Athletes" to be allowed to enter his Model Search competition at a night club.

And the thread gets over 70 comments...

Mostly comments from people looking to kiss up to the guy since it's his page and his magazine and his friends that say - Yes, they should be allowed bla, bla, bla and how great his event is going to be and how bad all the other people are. All super hyped up and in full marketing mode.

Thing is, honestly I freakin' hate those "model search" contests.

Can you say, "shenanigans".

It's not how models get careers. NO, NO, NO!
It's how they plant one person they would have shot for the magazine anyway and they make a big deal of it but it really isn't a big deal at all.

It's some kind of show that people are being scammed into doing entering. Well, actually people that do those type of weird night club bar stuff are sort of laughed at by people who know better.

Usually another trick is in a form of a "Vote for Me" contest to draw more Facebook "likes" to the pages and websites of the magazines.

Okay, so why would a magazine owner try and run a model search contest when he can simply get a Press Pass to any fitness event in the world he wants? He could just show to and see the best looking people on real stages and just pick out a whole bunch of people he wants photographers to shoot. Well, for Reason #1 they are not making money off of the contestants and Reason #2 they are not getting the social media hype of the photos being shared on their pages.

You don't have to do all that!

You just have to know the business and some of the right people.

This frustrated me so much with people not knowing the industry that I wrote a report titled "How to Get on a Magazine Cover".

This is the real deal:

Then I saw some big name people I know coming out with "How to Get Published" and I got very excited. Why did I get excited? Because nobody else is telling you the truth on how to do it.

These guys write for all the major publications and have no vested interest in selling more print magazines or making you walk around a night club with your shirt off while they run around and take your picture and get you all excited while you are really thinking, "I didn't think this is what I would have to lower my standards to dancing around a bar all oiled up to get in a magazine." Because it's NOT the right way and you know it.

This isn't just how to get a photo submitted it is how to write for magazines and even write your own book.

If you are serious about having a career I would just get this course.

I am so happy to have my name included in this product. This is seriously one of the best investments you can make if you want a real career in fitness.
