Success is a choice to THINK about

Published: Tue, 07/10/12

I'm going to be doing a radio interview with Dave Hall who is one of the
writers for a new book THINK! and Lose Weight.

Why did they decide to call this new book, "THINK! and Lose Weight?"

In 1937 Napoleon Hill published a book, Think and Grow Rich.  It is,
quite simply, a seminal work.  For it's time it was a hugely ambitious
work.

By the end of the thirties the United States had not fully recovered
from the Great Depression and Americans were suffering.  Many
who had achieved success were broken and those who had struggled
all along were hit even harder.

In Think and Grow Rich Hill explains the very process of self improvement.

Having studied the biographies of hundreds of successful men, he
identified the crucial components that separated these men from their
peers.  Over the years this book has become a must read read for
anyone interested in in self improvement and it makes my all-time
top 5 list of required reading.

Stephen R. Covey published The Seven Habits of Highly Effective People
in 1989.  A much younger book, it still rocketed to the forefront of self
improvement literature.  It's success due largely to it being based on
proven methods others have already used to achieve.

The New Book Release Entitled:
Think! And Lose Weight: The Seven Habits of Highly Effective Weight Loss...
intentionally takes it's name from these two eminent works.

The core lesson of Think and Grow Rich and The Seven Habits
of Highly Effective People is that success, financial success,
professional success, weight loss success, success in any
endeavor is entirely dependent on your mind.

How do you see yourself?  How do you see your goals?
Do you think they are worthwhile or that you deserve their
achievement?  The way you think about what you want is the
single greatest determiner in whether you will succeed or not.

That means that success, ultimately, is a choice.

Certainly work is involved.  Success takes effort.  There's no
doubt about that, but the first step, the crucial step, is the decision
to do so.

This book takes the lessons of success and achievement and
applies them directly to weight loss.  As such the principles
involved here apply to any endeavor.  Many have found that their
successful weight loss journey was a precursor to far greater
achievements.  The foundation to their success having been laid
with the work they undertook to transform their bodies.

What can you achieve?

Take the lessons of this book to heart.  These are the principles
not only of physical transformation but personal transformation.

The market is flooded with information on how to lose weight.
There are a plethora of diets out there, Paleo, South Beach,
Dean Ornish, Weight Watchers.  There are high carb diets, low
carb diets, protein diets, salad diets, fruit diets, powders, pills and
a host of products all designed to help you lose weight.

THINK! and Lose Weight does not promote one method of weight
loss over another.  Everyone of us is unique and the methods that
one of us successfully uses may or may not work for others.
As the saying goes, "Your mileage may vary."

What this book does do is focus on the principles.  These are
principles of success and successful weight loss and these principles,
if applied, will work for everyone every time.

With this book you are about to embark on a journey, a journey
of physical and personal transformation.
