[Be Warned]

This is not my typical happy email...

So someone competes in my show and wins a Pro Card they have a choice to compete in the World Championships or not - it's left up to them but in most cases people like the Pro title and want to advance in their career.  (And sometimes it's the worst thing that could happen to someone - I guess, ouch)

And let me make a point - I really do CARE LESS which federation someone chooses to compete with and at the beginning of my career I had no idea what federation was what.

Even last year my show was with no federation at all...
(I didn't like any of them - but eventually you have to pick your poison.)

I was tired of federations - until I spoke with Paul Dillett.

First I'm going to show you an email I received this week after I asked someone who turned Pro if they plan to go to the World Championships after I saw a Facebook post that he was jumping into a local show.

My question was simply?

"I guess your not going to Toronto for the World's because if you do compete in a amateur show your giving up Pro status?"

So here we go... he rips me a new A Hole

Sorry Brian! All do respect...I'm watching the parade pass me by while I sit around for one show. WBFF really dosent have anything seriously going on in the states. If I lived out there it would be a different story. Also, i am very disappointed with all that's happens after the show. First, we do a shoot then I don't hear from any one and then told I have to buy photos after a magazine that's not around in the states decides on wich photos to use. Second, as a overall winner, and I speak for all pro winner that are too caught up in the moment, we should be flown to Canada or have accomodation s paid for, something to reward our hard work. Third, I felt very insulted when I ask you if there's anything I can do for this upcoming show in Boston and I am told to hand out flyers. It's best if Paul dillet evaluates how he.runs his shows. To encourage and keep athletes that are in the states within the WBFF, he should have pro card athletes give out trophys at following show. Also, have a VIP section at every show in the states for pro card athletes so photographers have opportunity to meet and greet athletes, network, and have more exposure. All of this about the show is just a thought ;) . I missed plenty of opportunities waiting to go to Canada and could've had a pro card in a different federation that's affiliated with lots of magazines in the states along with huge sponsors. It's what we all are looking for and I don't see WBFF making it happen for me here in the states. Hope you understand were I'm coming from and this is not personal towards you. You have a great evening and hope all works well with your affiliation with WBFF.

So, I send the response over to Paul and he calls me right up. We are both concerned and don't want people feeling this way - it hurts - we both put so much effort in this.

Just so you know - - -
Paul Dillett was one of the best Pros of all time hands down. He won the Night of Champions and placed in the top ten of the Arnold and the Mr Olympia. At the time he was Pro he made more money in endorsement contracts than the current Mr O. The federation never flew him to shows and gave him a VIP section to meet photographers - he had to take his resources he made at shows and go out and hustle and negotiate contracts for himself. (and he didn't use the internet to do it back then he used a telephone and it wasn't even a cell phone - he told me he used to have $1500 phone bills for long distance.)

What I do offer is:

- The best venue hands down - The Oakdale is no joke - that place costs $30K for anybody to rent out. A website that gets TONS of traffic - check the traffic and compare. All over Facebook - personal page 5k, fan page 6k and the WBFF pages 16k. I gave out loaded goodie bags. I gave the contest DVD to athletes and I created a 101 page report with over 600 images. I cater to everyone in the show and not just the winners and that's why I call the DVD and REPORT "Class of 2011" it's about every competitor. I never promise anything I can't deliver.

And coming up I'm going to do a PRO ONLY - BY INVITE
teleseminar on ways to use the Pro Titles to promote yourself and
make profits.

This guy isn't alone in how he feels - there are many Pros that feel the
same way so I'm not bashing him. That's not the reason for this email.

Check out this dude - he didn't even win and he is killin' it!

Shows are platforms to promote yourself and that guy did just that.
