Happy August,

For me the weather is brutally hot and humid outside and I have no idea how people
get inspired to go the the gym in this weather...

Nice thing about summer in New England is going to the beach or outside things
and being in shape has some benefits.

I've been watching some people are training hard for World's in Toronto coming up in two weeks.

Others are going to watch the live stream and if you wanted you could sign up for an
Early Bird special for only $35 and watch it live.

Here is a link to the Early Bird deal. WORLDS

If you follow Fitness Atlantic on Facebook or Instagram you may have seen the dates released for 2017.

April 29th 2017 for Fitness Atlantic and April 30th 2017 for Shaun T Live Workout.

Two days at Mohegan Sun. It's one of the best venues to have a show.

It's 259 Days Away which means a few things have to happen.

The new Pre-Show Report will come out with event details.

Usually what I do is look at a 2017 calendar and count back the weekends. If the show is
on Saturday April 29th I count backwards.

This is how I used to prep for shows and now how I plan out the workshop dates.
Please note: This is only an example and I may have messed up these dates... :-)

Saturday April 29th 2017 - Show - 1 week out
Sunday April 16th - no workshop too close to the show
Sunday April 9th - 2 weeks out workshop
Sunday April 2nd - 3 weeks out
Sunday March 26 - 4 weeks out workshop
Sunday March 19th - 5 weeks out
Sunday March 12th - 6 weeks out workshop
Sunday March 5th - 7 weeks out
Sunday Feb 26th - 8 weeks out workshop
Sunday Feb 19th - 9 weeks out
Sunday Feb 12th - 10 weeks out workshop
Sunday Feb 5th - 11 weeks out
Sunday Jan 29th - 12 weeks out workshop

Then I have to confirm I didn't screw up any dates and then book these dates at a studio to rent for the workshops. I look at a calendar over and over again and keep working backwards.

This was also how I used to check-in on the scale and do body fat measurements leading to a show.
I tracked where I was at 12 weeks and made adjustments leading to the show. I knew I didn't want to have to lose more than two pounds a week which was about one percent body fat. If I was 210 pounds at 12% fat and I wanted to compete at 4% fat I figured that was 16 pounds to lose. In 12 weeks that was manageable and room to make some mistakes. Ideally I'd start at 16 weeks out to try and get ahead so I could maintain.

This is another reason I liked a spring show to do. The holidays are over and I'd start right after fresh into the new year.

Great thing is we have a lot of time to plan. I'll reach out to trainers who are also going to run workshops in
MA, NY, and RI. Hopefully we can add those dates to the Pre Show Report as well.

Then registration will open and tickets will go on sale.

Talk Soon,
