054: Days 16:00 Hours 00 Seconds

Published: Mon, 02/15/16

Flicking through television channels at night I usually stop on this show. I get hooked...

The show is called "Fit to fat to Fit" and personal trainers have to gain as much fat as their clients and then lose the weight together.

The show usually shows how emotionally hard it is for the super fit personal trainers to go and eat horribly and gain as much weight as possible in about 8 weeks. There is usually a lot of emotional drama as they eat fatty foods and try to put the weight on.

Then they have a meet up with their client who hasn't seen them since they were fit and the client gets motivated to lose the fat together with the trainer.

Then at the end of the episode both the trainer and client are fit. I'm waiting for the day the client just bails out and leaves the trainer fat.

I believe this show has a lot of truth and I have seen people do this before.

As the event promoter for April's Fitness Atlantic I always get nervous at this time of year because as we get under 8 weeks out I think competitors may think they don't have enough time to prepare

Typically my advice would be try not to lose more than 2 pounds a week.

Some people claim clients should be ready a few weeks before the event as well.

It all depends on how someone looks because some people hold their weight very well.

What the TV show did for me last night was realize people can accomplish huge things in short time spans.

Saturday was 8 weeks out. That sounds like a short time.

You can also go to the timer at the top of FitnessAtlantic.com to see the days with the countdown timer which says 054: Days 16:00 Hours 00 Seconds.
