meet in person?

What a difference when you meet people in person.

We ended up with an awesome turnout yesterday even with it being Superbowl Sunday.

Huge progressions in people who show up weekly and amazing to meet new people.

Following through with a fitness goal without a group is tough.

So, did you watch the Superbowl?

I fell asleep on the couch watching it... long weekend with NYC and CT workshops.

After waking up early to a call that Donna has a school snow day off??? I don't see snow?

I got up and checked online.

What did I see?

Stories about Cam Newton sulking at an interview after the biggest game.

Here is what the news said:

"His humiliation came after the game, however, and it was self-imposed.

Newton, 26, an ebullient, intelligent, gifted quarterback, decided to act in his moment of truth like a 13-year-old. He slouched into the interview room late. He took a seat, a blue sweatshirt hood pulled low over his face. He made eye contact with no one. What did he make of the game? Was he surprised? How could he explain? The reporters’ questions arrived one after the other, not a surprise in the batch, some framed as gently as if offered by dimwitted therapists. For more than a minute, he stared at the floor, scratched his chin, curled his lip and sulked."

So I watched it and...
I honestly didn't think it was that bad.

He didn't make excuses or blame anyone. I've seen much worse from athletes.

I'm sure he is nice and extremely talented person.

It is a shame people may now think of him otherwise?

We can't always win and you can't always control if people will like or dislike you?

There is such a difference between really knowing someone like the difference between
a Facebook friend and a Real Friend.

Real friends have your phone number in their contacts and shoot you a text now and then.

You meet up with real friends and have real conversations. You know them.

Strange thing about Facebook friends is they thousands don't wish you a Happy Anniversary or
Happy Birthday.

You end up with thousands of fake or inactive friends.

Andre the "Bricks" made a bold statement on his Facebook a few months ago.

He said if anyone hasn't liked, commented, or messaged him in over a year he was going to remove them as friends.

He was getting frustrated because he would comment and people wouldn't comment back.

His activity has been up ever since.

For myself I focus more on my Fan Page than my personal page:

I'd rather see the activity on that page then my personal page.

Some people don't put anything personal on their pages it is just all promotional.

I prefer email for communication.

I think texting and Facebook messenger are short and quick and could be misread and not the best way to communicate.

Nothing like picking up the phone but we all see less and less of that and some people just don't like the phone.

Truly nothing beats one-on-one in-person!

The point of this email is two things.

#1. Make time for people and if it is fitness come to some of these workshops.
Just because you are Facebook friends with someone doesn't mean anything.
Communication is best in-person!

#2. People dislike sore losers.

I don't think Cam Newton was that disrespectful and maybe they are hyping it more than needed.

Should he have skipped that interview? I think so if he was able to?
Could he have presented himself better?
He could have taken the hoodie off and acted more professional.

How long do you think it will take that guy to snap out of it?
Will he get over it?

Get over it and on to next season.

The best thing about a fitness show is you walk away with the best body you ever had.

We constantly remind people they will still be a winner.

Are contestants still going to feel hurt?
Yes they will and some will make excuses and place blame on others.

In both ways it means respect.
