Dear Contestant,

 

It is with deep regret that we find ourselves in the position, in which we must postpone the 2020 WBFF Fitness Atlantic.

 

In the past 21 years of producing this show, we have never dealt with such an uncertain situation that has posed a risk to the safety and health of the general public.  This virus has hurt both the fitness industry with our gyms closing, and the entertainment industry, both of which are essential to create our annual event.  After reaching out and having difficult conversations with Mohegan Sun, they have also agreed that given the current timeline surrounding the Coronavirus, this is the best solution.

 

The motivation you showed us by training at home and trying to stay focused, is truly inspirational.  We attempted to push the show to Memorial Day weekend in May, but unfortunately, both the casino, Donna, and myself feel that is still not enough time.  We would love to be able to hit the reset button on 2020 and start over again, as we understand you have trained for 8 weeks or so and would like to see it through.  Your courage to persevere under such conditions is what gave us hope to keep pushing to hold the event.

 

Many of you asked us to keep the show as planned and sent encouraging emails with many positive thoughts.  But again, we have to be fair and honest with you and let you know now that the May date is going to be too soon, given the extended quarantine of all non-essential businesses.

 

We invite you to APRIL 2021 with a fresh start. We hope that together with you, we can have an even bigger 2021 Fitness Atlantic next year.

 

What Happens Next?

 

Hotel Reservations:  All Mohegan Sun hotel reservations will be canceled and deposits will be returned by Mohegan Sun.

 

Ticketmaster: The Ticketmaster Box Office at Mohegan Sun will be handling all ticket refunds.  They are aware of the postponement and will be refunded.

 

Services: Each of the service providers have been made aware of the situation.  Tanning, Hair/Make-Up, and Photography will be reaching out to you individually.

 

Entry Fees:  After long consideration and the discussion of transferring of fees to other 2020 WBFF events, we have decided that refunding our Fitness Atlantic entries is in the best interest of our contestants.  Please be patient as we process a large amount of refunds. They will be processed in the order in which they were received.
