Hey,
How are you holding up?
Crazy week?
This is the 6th year Fitness Atlantic is held at Mohegan Sun so the production meetings go a lot faster and smoother now. The first time booking Mohegan Sun they had no idea of the type of show this was and the amount of stage lights needed. Especially all of the moving lights that we use for this event. They automatically think it's a typical bodybuilding show with all white light and a spotlight and it did start off as one years many ago but over time it
has changed into more a flashy fitness modeling show. Each year the production gets better and closer to Victoria Secret Fashion Show (if you ever saw that on television).
Fitness Atlantic had huge growth with the Transformation Challenge and adding more contestants to the show while that can also cause some confusion explaining what that is exactly. The Fitness Atlantic Transformation Challenge isn't a Biggest Loser and is not an Extreme Makeover. The Fitness Atlantic Transformation Challenge isn't really a contest either because you are not compared to other people. It is an event based on "results" achieved and can be
short-term or long-term while there is a Before Photo on a large screen behind you on stage and you walk out on stage as the After each contestant's results vary.
For first-timers doing the show explaining it to others could be tough.
Imagine talking to friends and family and saying,
You: "I'm entering a show in April."
Friend: "What kind of show?"
You: "A fitness show."
Friend: "You have to do a routine or workout?"
You: "No, the Fitness Atlantic has WBFF Diva Fitness Model, Bikini Diva and Figure and men have Muscle Model and Fitness Model. Oh and Transformation Challenge."
Friend: "Okay..." as they try to figure out what all that means...
You: "You wanna go?"
Friend: "I don't know."
You: "It's at Mohegan Sun Casino."
Friend: "Oh, I'll go to the casino!" (People love the venue)
Many of the emails I send out explain that people (friends, family and people at the gym) will try and talk you out of entering a show and getting on stage. People will act supportive and tell you that you don't look ready and it is an unhealthy thing to do. Be prepared as you will be challenged by friends and more importantly yourself as you look in the mirror and come up with excuses to back out.
Do something that locks you in and makes you committed like pay the entry, book your hotel and buy some tickets. No backing out.
Usually as you get close to the show and they see how hard you worked your friends will want to go support you. Most shows don't sell many tickets until last minute so if you get them now you will be able to buy the first few rows. The seats will be incredible.
A package deal of tickets to the show and a hotel night - that's extra special.
Our Fitness Atlantic rates are half of what they charge on any weekend so making a reservation now is really good because it will sell out.
You can also get tickets from the links below and you can download them automatically this year so no need to wait for physical tickets in the mail. You can print them out.
