Here we go! Less than 34 Days to Go...
This major annual event takes all of our effort and focus of twelve months of preparation as nothing is thrown together. Staying organized with the music, lighting, ordering trophies and making flyers isn't that hard when you focus on producing only one show each year.
The complicated part is encouraging enough people to enter and become part of the show as a contestant. Many people find reasons to back out and just wait for another event.
Such a big deal breaker is when people prep for the show and wait for gym members or a trainer to tell them if they are READY or NOT READY... Everyone is an expert in the gym, "You look so ready for this!" Your ego gets big and you go and enter the show - you feel all pumped up from the compliments - then you see someone else post a photo on Instagram and you think they look better than you and then you feel defeated and sad.
Heads up... Most people don't ever feel READY.
Being confident is a great feeling but if you always wait for that moment you can say, "I got this!" You really would make as many things happen.
Butterflies in the stomach, feeling nervous, and some anxiety are normal before walking on stage in a bikini.
The type of contestant that waits for a smaller show and they are super confident about winning a PRO CARD because their trainer tells them they "should win" are usually the people that end up the most miserable when a show is over because they get 3rd Place. Sometimes that first-time focused person does win the show but then they do the next PRO show and it is another story... it really only depends on who shows up.
If you can have FUN the entire prep and during the show that is the best thing. FUN is the number one thing to make the entire experience the best.
Most of the really good contestants worked their way up the ranks by entering more than one show and over each year they learned and improved themselves.
I could tell you so many stories about the people that came back year-over-year and improved and enjoyed every second of the event. Honestly most of them are either on our judging panel or working parts of the show like our Tanning and Makeup team from Sean and Tiffany.

The Mohegan Sun Host Hotel Deadline is Wednesday the 13th and the
first Entry Fee Deadline is Friday the 15th!
You can still enter the show after these dates but you will have a Late Fee of $50 after March 15th and after April 1st the Late fee will go up to $100.
Honestly we don't like late fees and don't not enjoy adding them but deadlines do help people make the final decision to enter.
There is an old saying, “If it weren't for the last minute, nothing would get done.” That saying seems to told true in so many instances.
The Mohegan Sun hotel room block expires Wednesday March 13th
and there are no exceptions to add any more rooms.
