You should always practice walking out from the right onto the stage or the left because sometimes at a show production changes.
We walk from the left.
If you face the audience you are walking out from your left side. The whole group does a big loop to the front of the stage and everyone in the class is on stage the entire time.
This may be considered an "I" walk.
Then each person one at a time walks to a Center Back X stops for quick second then walks to Center Front X and poses for say 3 poses (mostly front) then off to the back of the line.
This way everyone get more stage time when compared to a "T" walk when you start with an empty stage and one person at a time walks out. This may seem like you get more stage time but everyone on stage works better. We eliminate the wasted time of an empty stage.
Each contestant is then scored by the judges and these scores are tabulated. Which means there doesn't have to be a whole lot of comparisons and call outs.
We score based on the division criteria on each round. When we score based on criteria for each round means that if you are in Bikini Diva you are scored in swimsuit as well as Gown. If you are in Diva Fitness Model you are scored in swimsuit and theme wear rounds. If you are in Men's Fitness Model you are scored in swimsuit and formal wear.
This is why presentation is so important. This isn't simply only placing people next to each other and a physique contest of who is the most ripped unless you are in Figure or Muscle Model as those divisions are more focused on physique only.
When searching videos look for the most recent years 2018, 2017.
My favorite parts of the show are more Finals Gala with the Opening Number, Theme Wear Spectacular and the Parade of Gowns. Those are more choreographed with the music and lighting.
Maybe I will see you at a Prep Workshop?
