My goal is getting out there - people are starting to really care.
YES! The lights are starting to become part of the
conversation!
People are really starting to appreciate the stage lighting!
It does take a LOT to master the lighting - being at a venue a few years,
having enough time to set them up, and the key is
the right lighting designer.
Pre-Programming is the major factor.
Remember I had multiple meetings to go over the lighting.
I met with the lighting designer and his team three
different times at Mohegan Sun and this is the same team that did the lighting last year. I gave them the show script, the music in order, and they understood it and we made it happen. We removed those ugly white lights that were on the front of the stage past years and each year we are building the deck of pre-programmed songs to add to the event.
You have to be able to know what
you want, explain what you want so other people understand and throughout the show I sat between the DJ and the lighting person.
If you look back at the past three years before at the same venue the lighting has gotten better each year...
Why and I explaining it this way?
The reason is because as a contestant in the show please realize it is about getting better each year.
If contestants who enter strive to get better each year and they do they feel better than focusing on straight up winning.
You can't always control the win... You can control getting better.
