don't regret the chances you didn't take

This morning I was thinking about writing an email about not taking action and feeling regret. I can think of a handful of people right now that IF they show up can win this show...

I think of the saying, "woulda, shoulda, coulda" which brings to mind an example from my own personal experience.

When I started in the fitness industry I was working at a World Gym for 8 years and always wanted to manage that club. Eventually I gave my notice and left for an opportunity to become a personal training director role and I did very well in creating systems for personal training that I always wanted to implement at the other gym but they didn't have the interest.

As soon as I left the World Gym a very close friend tells me, "If you had only stayed a little longer you would have been the general manager because they got rid of the GM and you were next in line."

Okay Captain Hindsight thank you for that thought... that messed me up for a while the more I thought about it.

The truth is I struggled with that for a little while when I gave it thought but my experience was better moving in the direction I had gone.

I had made the right decision in the end so maybe not the best example but it still bothered me.

Why did I think of this yesterday as I was driving?

I'm was thinking about people who looked so amazing last year but didn't win the show and haven't entered to return this year.

What I was thinking as I look at the entries for the show and think of these past year's contestants that if they showed up one of them would WIN this year.

I'm thinking of who "could" win if they showed up.

They do say 80% of winning is showing up!

So don't wait and do nothing. Any of them that do show up to watch this year may just think "If I had only showed up..."

The Entry Form needs to be filled out and paid by two weeks before the show so April 1st they are due in. The late fee will be added on April 2nd for anyone that wants to enter the show late.

Here is an event schedule again.

#1. Start with booking the hotel.

Reserve your hotel room http://fitnessatlantic.com/hotel/ and people ask how many nights they should book and it's really Friday that you should plan to be there. Reserve Friday April 13th 2018. Don't miss out of staying at Mohegan Sun as the other hotels are not all that close.

Friday contestants do spray tanning, check into your rooms, and come get registered and get contestant number, meet the Status Fitness Magazine Team, and we have a meeting at 7pm. People are asked to dress presentable since we are at a fancy venue.

It's all in the Convention Center so just head over and walk past Michael Jordan's Steakhouse and pass through those doors that say Convention Center. If you are at the hotel lobby walk towards the casino and see the big waterfall stay upstairs with Booby Flay's restaurant on your left and take that left and walk to Jordan's.
