Figure and Muscle Model Poses

Published: Wed, 02/28/18

Hey,

This is the 3rd day of shooting out an email about "posing" for a show.

First email was on the stage walk.

*Now I added two videos in this email below as posing examples but they have the older style way we used to call out one person at a time until the entire class was on stage. Now the past couple years we bring the entire class on stage the whole pre-judging time and then have contestants walk to the front X on stage. This allows for the entire class to have the same amount of stage time

The second email I sent was on Half Turns for Bikini, Male and Female Fitness Model and Transformation. These divisions do FRONT and BACK posing.

This email is about Quarter Turns for Figure and Muscle Model. These two divisions do 4 TURNS to the RIGHT.

Figure Front Pose - Feet together and arms at side yup called Front Relaxed Pose.

Quarter Turn to the RIGHT and side side - you could leave a hand on one hip.
Quarter turn to the RIGHT for Back Pose - feet close and you could move your hair out of the way.
Quarter Turn to the RIGHT Face Front - they may move you around.
Here are two popular videos from my YouTube channel. 80,000 views on this Figure Posing Video.
Figure and Muscle Model are Physique Contests.

I just noticed that WBFF Worlds Muscle Model Contest video a guy has pants on?
How did he sneak in there?

There is no chance he could win doing that... but maybe he had a reason he had to do it? Sometimes we think what the heck and then find out someone had a medical reason to do something and then we feel bad so you never know...

Some people compete just for fun. Some people get way too serious about competing and think nobody should have fun and it's all about winning.

At the end of the day you should compete in a show because you enjoy it.

For almost every person doing a show this is a hobby. Personally I like to think of it as the ultimate reason to get in as best shape as possible. Competing is a huge goal and major accomplishment.

It is not that common that at shows people who don't win walk away happy and the contest part really could stress people out.

Smile and have fun - that is the best thing you could do.

Talk Soon,
