The Entry Form is a simple online process but it has not always been that way.
It is a super easy
process:
Entering a Show was not always this EASY
In the past contestants would have to CALL ON THE PHONE and leave a message of their address and I would mail them an ENTRY FORM PACKET they would wait to
receive the packet and mail it back filled out and include a photo.
Later years the website had a PDF of the Entry Form was online for download and they would PRINT IT and send it back signed with a PHOTO and a CHECK. Yes a Bank Check so they had to buy a bank check or a money order at the post office.
NOT ANYMORE - NOW IT
IS SUPER SIMPLE!
I still have file cabinets on Entry Forms and Consent Waivers!
I remember some that would come in from people like Lindsay Messina
with a professional comp card like a real model. Most of the photos were simple Polaroid photographs taken with a regular camera - can you even think of the last time
you held a printed photograph of yourself?
Strangely enough now that signing up to enter a show has become so much easier people in general now take less urgency to do something like enter a show.
People used to call after and ask, "Did you receive my Entry Form?"
I
would call back and say, "Yes, you are all set!"
Entering a show sets you up NOT TO FAIL! Enter and make an announcement to the world.
Now it takes just a few minutes to enter online.
