Form.
As we plan for the 2018 WBFF Fitness Atlantic I reflex on the past 19 years.
Currently the Entry Form is a simple online process but it was not always that way.
It
is an easy process:
Here is a quick story from the past.
Yesterday I went to check my P.O. Box and I don't go there
as nearly as I used to...
I used to start checking the PO Box one or two times as day as the show approached.
In the past contestants would have to CALL ON THE PHONE and leave their address and I would mail them an ENTRY FORM PACKET they would wait to receive the packet and mail it back filled out and
include a photo.
Later years the PDF of the Entry Form was online for download and they would PRINT IT
and send it back signed with a PHOTO and a CHECK. Yes a Bank Check.
I still have file cabinets on Entry Forms and Consent
Waivers!
I remember some that would come in from people like Lindsay Messina
with a professional comp card like a real model. Most of the photos were simple photographs taken with a regular camera - can you even think of the last time you held a printed photograph?
Strangely enough now that signing up to enter a show has become so much easier people in general now take less urgency to do something like enter a show. I guess people know they can enter in a few minutes while before it was more of a process.
People used to call after and
ask, "Did you receive my Entry Form?"
I would call back and say, "Yes, you are all set!"
Now it takes just a few minutes.
