Hey,
Every year people train and diet right up close the the show and STOP.
Out of nowhere they say, "I'm not doing it." WHAT??
I am always shocked and thinking - Wow, 12 weeks of chicken, rice and vegetables for nothing...
When I ask "why" and can you guess the answer?
Of course you can guess!
Their gym buddies got to them. So called friends...
The Peanut Gallery of experts in judging fitness contests... you know the ones.
They haven't been to a show in 10 years.
They think you are supposed to look like Arnold.
That gym guy that tells you to show him your abs and he shakes his head and says, "nope".
YOU CAN'T WIN that's what he says... like he did you a
favor.
That's it - one more contestant who could have made it - OUT!
Don't let them get to you.
Stay as far away as you can from these negative people.
Most of those people giving advice do nothing themselves.
They shut down ALL of your goals.
They talk you OUT of everything.
And guess what - "THEY" are EVERYWHERE.
Close your ears and focus! People are always looking for extra motivation
but that comes from you sticking to the plan. STAY THE COURSE!
Most people can physically get in shape and enter the show yet mentally
they back out. They start imagining things like doing a tiny show so they feel
like they can win it. They imagine not winning and being let down. They turn
the contest part of the event into making them crazy with
stress.
It's not only the gym guys that tell you that you can't compete and you are not
ready for a show but you can allow your own head to talk you out of it.
You may even start thinking crazy thoughts about feeling like you might lose.
Just register and do it anyway.
Who cares what those people have
so say.
And don't talk yourself out of it...
Stay the Course,
Brian
PS,
Don't wait to talk yourself out of something.
You
will feel so much better after you register.
You won't have the stress of thinking about it.
