Video Clips

Published: Fri, 05/05/17

Hi

Good Morning,

Each year at the Fitness Atlantic show there is a two teams of video people.

One group films the event and as it is running the side screens play the show to
help the audience watch more closely. These screens are on each side of the stage and
called IMAG and they have multi-camera angles playing throughout the show for the audience.

The next group walks around and interviews people. This was Joe the cameraman and Rocky
the interviewer. Rocky was the person who edited the 2017 promo videos made up of the interviews
from last year's event and stage footage.

Almost all of the shows nowadays are setting up what is called a step-repeat which they make a
red carpet area with a couple logos repeated on a backdrop banner.

Fitness Atlantic has been doing video interviews for many years now.

We used to do them in front of the step-repeat but after awhile they all look the same so now we have
the interview people walk freely and go anywhere.

The goal as well is to interview each person who wins first place right when they come off stage.

(Here is a shot of my oatmeal and coffee as I watch some videos to pick clips to edit.
Not that you really need to see oatmeal but that is Sean Larson's head
and see the timer so I can pick the clips that is how I do that. )
Now I watch the entire footage and pick out parts to include in feature videos.

There is a lot of footage to look over.

I watched Tiffany and Sean Larson and Sean explain that he has been a part of this show
since 1998 when I worked on a website Connecticut Bodybuilding and ran the A.A.U. Mr CT.

Sean watch the shows for many years before entering and if you know Sean he got blown away
the first year. Yup he was the guy with the sloppy tan on his face I told him to clean it up at the
meeting and gave him a towel. He placed 11th out of 12 guys.

Thing is he never stopped until he won the overall. Year after year of coming back to this show.

Funny he calls it the best show in the "intercontinental" U.S.A. yeah not just USA but
intercontinental USA. LOL makes me feel like a WWE Wrestler.

Chris Warnes of CW Fit talked about how his mother was doing Fitness Atlantic. First couple
years meeting and getting to know Chris I never realized Nancy was his mother.

Makes you realize how small our fitness world really is and how long people sometimes
stay involved in these types of events.

It really does become a community.

Joe from CKO Kickboxing said, "You have to decide first. Then put the next steps into place."

Nicole Costa of Body Rock said something that was awesome.

She said, "It is our job to believe in you until you believe in yourself."

I will just leave you with that one.

That is a great statement as most people quit in the 16,14, or 12 week prep.

Talk Soon,

Brian
