do it for yourself

Published: Thu, 04/20/17

Hi,

Yesterday I sent out an email and a lot of people responded to it.

It was the story about Stallone before he came out with Rocky and his struggles.

He wrote the Rocky script and would only sell the script if he could be the star in his movie.

He knew it was going to be a great movie.

I give a lot of thought to fitness and bodybuilding shows too and why people do them.

Most times people scare me when they enter their first show and all they say is...
"I want to win a PRO CARD."

My favorite people are the ones who just love it!

Of course nobody wants to not do well and winning a Pro Card is great
and all but that's just the "extra bonus".

Of course I'm always the guy to ask, "Why do you want a Pro Card?"

Some people want to get published in a Fitness Magazine.

Some people are getting published in this month's Status Fitness magazine.
These are not the winners of the show just people who have a good story...
Or took an amazing photo! Rodney the editor makes sure he gets Fitness Atlantic
people in the show and hands them out to all of this year's contestants.

Think about other important reasons to enter a fitness show!

If you asked someone and they replied,
- I wanted to feel better about myself.
- I wanted to really learn about my diet and how lean I could get.
- I was inspired by other people who had done this and wanted to do it too.
- I love the gym and wanted to make fitness part of my life.

You know those people are going away happy as they accomplished their goal.

Winning is the goal but doesn't need to be the Only Reason WHY?

There has to be something else that you can feel accomplished about doing a show?

Saturday makes one week to the show.

My goal is for everyone participating to have a great time and take in everything from the
venue, the stage and lights, and the overall experience.

It's going to be top-notch.

Not many people can get on stage and feel confident and show off their body.

This is not an easy thing to do.

Realize how cool that is that you made it.
