Back to the Grind...

Published: Wed, 03/15/17

Hey,

Yesterday we got hit with this blizzard in New England.

Stuck in the house all day and shoveling.

Good thing is today back back to normal and back to the grind.

I sent out an email about the Transformation Division and why it is an excellent start for introducing people to the whole of physique sports before they jump into competing in Bikini, Figure or Fitness Model.

It is not easy to prep for a show and stay focused especially when entering your first show.

So later in the day I get an email... I asked permission to share it with you.

Here it goes:

Hi Brian,

The timing of this email is perfect for me personally. Today marks the "one year anniversary" of when I started training for Fitness Atlantic 2016 this past April. It was my first show and first formal training prep. Even as a collegiate athlete, I had no idea what to expect or what the outcome would be but one thing I did know was that Day 1 was just as important as Day 30, 60, show day, etc.

I stuck with training to the end (yes with the occasional bad days and moments of weakness) but nothing strong enough to knock me off my game and end goal of stepping on stage at Mohegan Sun! I found all of your emails during training helpful and a great motivator. They encouraged me to become invested in sticking to competing by booking hotel early and buying tickets early. Not only did it take away from the stresses as we got closer to the show, it held me accountable more than just SAYING I was going to compete. I was committed! I was GOING to compete! And I did :)

It's actually the reason I signed up to receive these messages again leading up to Fitness Atlantic 2017. I had such a positive experience with Fitness Atlantic from start to finish I knew these messages would keep me in a good place to outline my goals and next steps moving forward. While I won't be competing in Fitness Atlantic 2017, it is not because I am not up for the challenge. I am proud to say that I received my Pro card this past April in Bikini Tall and am now on to my training plan and approach for what I hope to be my Professional debut at Worlds this August :)

I'm looking forward to attending Fitness Atlantic as a proud spectator for 2017 and watching all the incredible competitors, AND TO SEE THE LIGHTS OF COURSE!! :) but I would be most ecstatic to be able to sport my PRO sash for April 2018 as a Professional Diva after competing in London!!

Thank you again for the positive and motivating messages as I continue my personal journey!!

Wasn't that great!

Not just because she liked the emails I write (haha) but because she stuck with her goals.

I hope everyone could share in this experience.

Talk Soon,

Brian

PS, there is a joke in her emails about how I always talk about the Fitness Atlantic stage lights LOL most shows don't put as much effort into production as I do. I try to think from a spectators point of view and not just from a competitor's view. I have a big production meeting coming up at Mohegan all about LIGHTS and I love it.
