The BEST fitness photographer in the world

Published: Tue, 03/07/17

If I made the statement that David Ford is the best fitness photographer in the world today there are very few that would even try to argue that statement...

Other photographers take good pictures too.

In the way of professionalism I find him to be the best by far.

Here is what Kayla said to a few questions at her shoot.

What was it like photographing with David Ford?

FUN! David is so passionate about his work and it shows. I loved how calm and confident he was. It's no fun shooting with a frustrated photographer! David was amazing and made me feel extremely comfortable and beautiful.

What was in like working with Status Editor Rodney Jang?

Rodney is very honest and to the point and I love that.  I loved that Rodney was a "real" person and very relatable. I had a great time talking with Rodney during our shoot and he was very easy to work with before, during and after. Very prompt and professional.

What do you like most about the WBFF?

The amount of time and energy that is put into each show, everything leading up to a show and the promotion of their athletes. They do an amazing job and really get us athletes excited to put on a show with them. It is the classiest of organizations and truly does showcase the best of the best. I would never consider or recommend competing with anyone else.

Just last night Allie posted with excitement about being featured in Status Fitness Magazine!

THAT's ME!! How awesome, I love it! I've been waiting MONTHS for this and can finally share that I'm in Status Fitness Magazine as one of their featured models!! Please take the time to read...although you will see that things have changed quite a bit since they asked me all these questions! 😁

Over the years of producing fitness shows I have worked with many different photographers and many shoot great photographs. Whenever I add a service to the show were there is an additional charge to the contestants I need to consider the value added for the contestants.

One of the best things you can take away from a show if how you looked on stage and the photos that last a lifetime. I talk with a lot of people who used to compete in shows years ago that say they wish they had better photos. Photos of yourself on stage and off stage by the best people in the industry is not something you will ever regret spending the money on later in life.

I think differently than many people who "compete" in shows and only focus on winning... If you read many of my emails you may see I try to educate people into marketing themselves over having only one focus of winning a show. There are many different directions you have the ability to go with a fitness career in which photos of yourself can come in handy. Due to the production and photography I feel very confident that the stage and backstage photo shoot images you walk away with will be the greatest value you can invest in.

The Fitness Atlantic team is excited to welcome back for the fourth consecutive year – the Status Fitness team!

We have been fortunate to have a professional media provider attend our show. This is an opportunity unavailable at any other show in the WBFF schedule. Editor-in-Chief, Rodney Jang will be in attendance. Rodney brings with him a wealth of knowledge and he will speak at the athlete meeting after registration.

This is an opportunity you won’t want to miss. Also with Rodney, we will have celebrity cover photographer David Ford. David has been with the WBFF since they started and brings an enormous talent behind the camera. He has worked with top competitors including Chady Dunmore, Nicole Costa, Jennifer Nicole Lee and many others in the WBFF family. Status Fitness team photographer and feature photographer Ali Sohrab will once again be at this show. Ali has a very creative approach to his work which is clear in his shoots – both private and backstage.

This is going to be an exciting event and the sky is the limit for each of you. Please read on for more information on the various opportunities.
