Hey,

Yesterday was an interesting day...

All the sudden all these ticket sales came in.

Not sure what sparked the interest and then one of the coaches of a team sent me a message and

said, "Did the discount code expire today?" so I checked and it had.

My wife Donna even asked me, "Did you see all those ticket sales?" because we both get an email

notification when they happen.

Yes they did expire at 12pm (noon) which was really supposed to be 12 midnight and it's hard to set it to that time so if anyone missed the sale for those last 6 hours just reply back and I will give you a new code for today.

It is really hard to inspire people to take action.

Many people still wait until the very end to make a decision even if they pay more.

This morning Dennis who makes the WBFF Athlete Banners shoots me an email and asks of he offers

a 33% OFF discount if people would get the athlete banners? He wants to offer this special to people who have shown up to some of the workshops.

I honestly have no idea what makes people move on something. It's like the whole event all I can do is rent the best venue Mohegan Sun, plan for the best stage, music and lights, bring in the Status Fitness Magazine photography team and promote it like crazy... yet I never know the outcome of who will enter.

I'm not sure what 33% OFF of $40 comes to but if I calculated it correctly it makes the price $26.80. Seems like a really good discount off the banner package. You get the Profile Image, the Instagram Square, and the Facebook Header image each designed with you and your name.

If you have any idea the type of images I had from my first show I ever entered I'd be all over that.

I didn't have any of that.

My show was in a high school, there was no stage photography, and I tanned myself.

I've never shared this before especially the 12 weeks out before my first show in my underwear.

And the show image in the locker room was the day before the show and I looked like I was kept in a concentration camp. Remember this was 1992 before cell phones with cameras.

Then comes the show images....

Each image had the back of somebody's head.

Now what Dennis creates is professional banners custom made for you.

Basically they are posters featuring you on them.

I've also been sharing people who tag #fitnessatlantic who say they are entering... not everyone

has actually entered. It's really cool to share workout videos!

I would have loved to have professional banners when I competed in shows.

Nope my first contest flyer looked like a Chinese Food Menu.

The stage had nothing but a banner and a DJ backstage playing our cassette tapes for our music.

Some people still like to enter basic shows like that? There are tons of them.

Sometimes I do hear people say that Fitness Atlantic is too much glamour and they

prefer shows with no frills. Many people still consider a less glamorous event to be more

hardcore than Fitness Atlantic.

I've been told if the show was at a high school and had no lights the same amount of people

would still enter. They tell me that people would much rather save $100 on the entry fee than

go to Mohegan Sun and care about stage lighting.

Now all I can say is with no offense to the people who say that to me I disagree with them.

I'd much rather take a shot and book Mohegan Sun and have a crazy budget that makes

me work so hard to find like-minded people who care about a big production and can truly

appreciate the event for being that special.

Not sure if you know this but I really appreciate your support of the show.
