Good Morning,
Happy Tuesday!
I plan to do another batch upload coming up this week as well.
The thing about watching videos if you are thinking about posing from years before is to realize some videos
are from preliminaries and others are from finals.
Now many people pose exactly the same way for both prelims and finals while some people know they can put on more of a show at the night show (Finals).
There are many styles of posing for the stage and we encourage people to add their own flair.
The audience doesn't want to see robotic people all do exactly the same thing.
Each contestant gets to walk to the front and center of the stage and have about 20 seconds of posing.
Over the weekend I attended two posing classes.
In the 2nd class on Sunday I was helping two guys and one was for Male Fitness Model and the other was a big guy for Muscle Model.
I explained it like this... imagine the whole class walks out on stage as a group.
Then one at a time each person's number is called.
They walk center to a rear X on the stage and then forward to the front X.
I would tell them - look at the audience and smile - do one quick pose at back
X.
Walk and smile to front X.
In that time you likely do 3-4 poses that transition nicely.
One guy does his first pose with hands over his head, transitions to a side side with abs, then transitions to a rear pose and
looks back over his shoulder and to his bicep, then to the front and goes into one more pose. Always finishing to the front and walking back to the line up again at the back of the stage.
Each pose I counted 1, 2, 3 then next, 1, 2, 3 then next pose.
I also took photos without counting at
first and each photo was in a transition and not the pose so when I did it again I counted and took the photos and was able to take a photo of each pose.
We also took a cell phone video and had them watch the walks.
Sometimes when we watch past show videos it can just make people
confused.
When people are out on stage they get nervous or one person does something and then other do it as well.
This is why it is important to attend a posing class and know what you are doing before you walk out on stage.
10AM Show is General Admission (Open Seating)
