It's Monday!
Start of a new week.
My friend Charlie posted a photo of Steve Harvey and wrote something about the Oscars last night.
Of course, I didn't watch it because I was watching The Walking Dead.
Seeing Steve Harvey it's likely the wrong award was handed to someone... so I searched it.
For sure they messed it up. The announced La La Land instead of Moonlight for the Oscar.
I
wonder HOW do they mess up the final and largest award of the night.
Like they did it on purpose? I just think it makes the biggest award of the night look stupid.
Now having a Oscar Winning movie I'm sure makes the actors and producers much more
money for the rest of their careers so
it is a super big deal.
How do they allow that to get messed up?
I have no plans to watch either movie and no idea how the judging happens between each one.
I'm sure some people like one over the other. Each movie is likely completely
different.
All I could bet is people now watch both movies.
I guess my message is three parts.
#1. Live Production
#2. Awards
#3. Being Part of Something Big
In live production mistakes can happen but they really should not especially at that level.
The correct person or winner should be announced.
When an award is used correctly it could
be a life-changer. The more and more I see less
importance on the actual trophy more on the "opportunity".
Sometimes it's really hard for people to understand that putting yourself out there and taking
a chance like entering a fitness event at a big venue and capitalizing just by
being part of something
big...
Here is an example of someone who is seeing opportunity.
