Working our way back to Fitness Atlantic at Mohegan Sun.
It looks like it is going to be an epic show!
Honestly I was nervous for a while because the entries always come in so slow are turning out well.
All finals tickets are reserved seating.
If people are not going to purchase online it is safer to just show up and buy a ticket for the Morning Show at 10am as there are plenty of those available.
Okay so heads up for the contestants:
Each year we video crew to film the event and interview contestants in the show.
In the past we set up a backdrop and tried to interview each contestant with a fitness related question and it went okay but hard to get people over to the area for interviews as the show is running. They ended up standing around a lot waiting.
Then the goal was for the guys to roam around the whole time and catch people and interview them while showing off the venue and the overall experience. We wanted people to see that of all the shows people can enter this one has a great venue and production quality. We got a lot of bits and pieces as you see in the promo videos.
This year the goal is to talk about the process of entering a show.
For example when does prep start?
16, 14, 12, 10 weeks out?
What is the process?
Did you hire a trainer or coach?
Do you do weekly check-ins?
How long did you wait until you finally registered and why?
The goal is for us to create motivational videos to already start thinking of next year.
We want to tell people why they should do this as well.
Nothing too dramatic or a bunch of name dropping but positive systems for people to enter this show next year.
For example I saw the following post below on Facebook this morning.
Awesome Post!
"You nailed every check-in and stayed focused!"
That is great stuff.
The prep lead to RESULTS regardless of the trophy and placement what changes did you see?
They have a list of certain things they are looking to film.
- Explanations of the Divisions
- Questions for each Coach/Trainer/Gym Owner
- Questions for contestants
As for me I'll be standing next to the lighting guy during the show. If these effect lights come off
as we planned in all of the production meetings this year everyone will notice.
See you soon,
Brian
