5 Weeks Out Update:
Show Production:
I had a great meeting at Mohegan Sun to go over some of the details of the event. Our DJ came up to see where he will be setting up and the Entertainment Crew for all of the show lighting met with us. That crew is from the Arena and they run all of the major concerts! I gave them the music for the Opening Number, Theme Wear Spectacular, Parade of Gowns, and all the other songs so they can program the lights to the music.
More Entries into the Show and Space Backstage:
I met with an Event Production Supervisor to go over making more room for the backstage and they are clearing out as much space as possible and also happen to be installing monitors so as contestants are backstage they can see what is happening on stage.
The backstage is tight so they are doing a "clean and clear" to every bit of space so it will work. If there are still some contestants that need to register we are trying to accommodate everyone by getting the backstage space to make it work.
Entry on the website is still open and hasn't ever been closed but we really do need to get everyone entered because it is that important to the show schedule and making space in the dressing areas. I think we have about 5 more people who are training for the show that just haven't paid to enter yet so please do this now.
Tickets:
Friday, April 29th, 6PM is the Transformation Show and this has tickets available with floor seats as VIP and the couches open as general admission.
Saturday, April 30th, 10am Prelims is the same with VIP on the floor seating and the rest remaining as general admission and each of these events limited to 400 tickets. I'm not sure how many are sold now and can only see the VIP area tickets on Ticketmaster.
Saturday, April 30th, 6PM Finals Gala did sell out as was planned. I did meet with my Convention Services Manager but my Ticketmaster Rep was not available to see if they could add more chairs to the layout but she has the request. I feel that in the isles where they have rows of 10 it might be possible to make those rows of 20. That might add 40-80 tickets? As it is the venue is very spread out with the seating and it is up to the Box
Office people.
Hotel Rooms:
We had a couple emails from people trying to book the hotel about the Friday Night Double Room price looking very high. This is because we keep selling out of those rooms and it just gives the normal weekend rate. We don't have unlimited rooms at the discount and have to request them and become responsible for these rooms selling.
There were some rooms available for Friday but were King and not double. I've never had this as an issue in the past but the discount code had always expired 30 days out to the event and sometimes that happened. If a few people just are having difficulty and you send me an email at Brian@fitnessatlantic.com I can ask for help.
Promotional Banners:
Our old photography team used to handle the banners in the past and we had requests for them. These are now available from the WBFF website https://wbffbanners.com/ If you don't see Fitness Atlantic as a dropdown option but add a note or email info@wbffbanners.com
