Hi,
When it comes to reaching fitness goals like entering a show
the most important thing is not trying to figure out who else is entering
and if you think you can beat them - thinking about that before
you even start prep usually will only mess you up.
Entering a show is a personal challenge against yourself.
Before you even think about "winning a show" and "turing Pro" in your first show you need
to figure out how long it will take you to get into contest shape and do something
about it.
First focus on yourself and get into the best shape of your life.
I like to say at that point you already won because without the
drive you'd likely be sitting at home watching TV most nights...
Training for a show pushes you to hit the gym so much more than
when you have no goals planned and just go through the motions.
The goal is extremely important. There is no motivation without the goal.
You need weekly focus and check-ins to hold you accountable.

Do you need to order a swimsuit, shoes, gown or theme wear?
Budget and space out the entry fee, the hotel reservation, and spray tanning.
Friends may want tickets but they don't usually purchase them until last minute but
if you plan ahead you can purchase a group of over 10 tickets at a discount and seat
all of your friends together.
If you plan it out you will have so much less stress then someone rushing into it.
Now if you live too far away to attend these workshops you can save the dates for
checking in yourself or a trainer or coach local to you.
Some other coaches in other states hold workshops as well - MA, NY, and RI
It's important to think about the start dates early.
You need to get the goal mentally in your head now. Start on time. Then be progressive
and make changes and adjustments weekly.
Last thing you want is to try and play catch up and go into a show knowing you
could have been better because you started too late. People back out all the time.
