workshop dates

Hi,

One of the best things about holding a posing workshop is seeing people
from the year before show up again.

It is always great seeing familiar faces!

When people had that much fun doing the show the year before to enter again means a lot.

It means they enjoyed it. They even enjoyed the prep and the workshops.

You built a really cool community and friendships.

Sometimes when I'm on Facebook and I see people who added me as a friend last year and
entered the show and I wonder "Are they going to enter again?"

First I look to see if they clicked "GOING" from the invite to the event page

Interested or going??? hmmm

Then I look at their posts - okay, did they like any Fitness Atlantic posts?
Sometimes they get tagged in a few images from friends... I wait for the comment... nothing yet.

Then there is only a certain window of time - by Jan 2017 timeframe if they don't say anything at all you are almost certain they are out. They miss that window of time to be in prep for the event.

Back years ago before all this Facebook stuff I used to mail out postcards or flyers and wait for people to call to ask for an Entry Form

People would leave a message with their name, address and phone number on an answering machine.

I would mail almost 5,000 postcards to my mailing list and get 300 people calling asking for the Entry Form to be sent.

Then guess how many people actually entered...

Half of them or less.

About 150 people.

There is something special about the person who tries and tries and finally eventually wins.

It's okay if people compete one time and never do it again but usually they still have an interest to do it again, you can tell from their posts.

They want to do it.

Some people may think it was one of the hardest things they did was to stick to that diet all the way through. The dieting is usually the hardest thing.

It only takes that decision to say "I'm Doing the Show!" then it is so much easier.

After that one decision it gets so much easier.

But that thought of cooking chicken every other day and making tupperware prepped meals seems like one of the biggest decisions ever. Thing is once you make the decision and you start eating perfect you feel so good.

Then you get right back in the routine.
