It's Thanksgiving Eve,
Before you go to your parents house tomorrow and load up on on turkey, mashed potatoes, gravy, string beans, and pumpkin pie.
Think about this.
Have you put any thought into committing to a show in 2017?
Sometimes on holidays when your family is eating like crazy you just jump in too.
It's okay...
Especially Thanksgiving as it's halfway
healthy.
A little butter won't set you back too much plus we have time.
Setbacks like that or missing meals or workouts happen and some people it really freaks them out.
I was not writing about that though... that is nothing.
This is more a question of DO YOU HAVE GOALS FOR 2017?
I was thinking a lot about how sometimes other people CRUSH your motivation.
I was
thinking just how EASY it is for people to smash your dreams.
Especially when they don't compete in shows.
Thing is many of these people are friends and family...
they just don't get the whole show thing and why you don't binge out, why you go to the gym everyday, they
feel like you sacrifice yourself and not reward yourself.
Sometimes somebody says something that might trigger something in your head that makes you think you don't need or really want to do the show. Most people would never go through show prep.
Many times people wouldn't notice what exactly that is.
It doesn't seem negative but it is...
Maybe they told you just don't look ready for this year?
So you go to the gym and go through the motions. Why even go without a
goal?
Isn't it weird when many people spend time working out "to maintain" their weight?
You eat whatever you want and don't really care. As long as you don't get too fat. Then they go run on a treadmill the next day...
What are you going to accomplish in 2017?
Anything amazing on the agenda?
Sometimes the "I'm not-to-sure about 2017", I'll wait for my motivation to come back,
maybe next time", that can change in
ONE SECOND.
MOTIVATION comes and goes...
All that has to happen is someone says to you,
"Are you going to do that show again? Let's do it
together!"
BOOM! A friend wants to enter with you and you work off each others drive.
Motivation comes from who you surround yourself with.
Get your head back in it -
After Turkey and Pie.
Thanksgiving is fine - it's Christmas that is the tough one to get through.
That is cutting it close.
Stay the course,
