You may have heard me say this before?
The way I became the person who runs fitness shows is because when I entered my first event I sold a ton of tickets and I told everyone at my gym to come and watch.
I never won a show, never had a Pro Card, just simply wanted to do it and wanted people to be part of it with me. Each show I entered I sold average 200 tickets.
After doing a few shows the promoter at that time called me and said "Would you like to take my show over? I know you would be good at it." I was 20 years old and no idea what I was getting myself into... that was the 1993 Mr CT show which turned
into Fitness Atlantic in 1999.
The thing is I never knew it was that uncommon to sell tickets to all the people at my gym along with my friends and family. Maybe you don't know that either but it's true.
The whole audience is made up of contestants friends and family.
You have to enter and to be good you also have to want to win but you still want to be cheered on regardless how you place. Doing a show is a huge accomplishment for everyone. For me it was a very important day and I wanted to share that with a big group of people.
If you don't tell everyone you are entering than it is very unlikely you will bring any audience and be cheered on. It's actually a lot
more fun with your team and going out to eat afterwards when you make it a big event.
I hope you understand that I sincerely mean that and it is very true. This will be one of the most amazing events at an incredible venue. The production quality will be off the charts.
I hope you join us.
Thank
You,
Brian Cannone
