Important questions on the rules for Fitness Atlantic

Dear Contestant,

It has been asked by many contestants if there is a rule that they must use the official beauty services. A common question is "Can we have someone else do our make up?" The answer is no and that you cannot hire and pay another person or company to do your make up on the premises. Second question is "Will I be judged if I do my make up myself?" The answer is yes and if you are standing on stage you will be judged fairly.  

The main reasons for rules on beauty services is the fact this is a 4 Star Hotel and things like spray tanning machines are not allowed in hotel rooms or public restrooms. We have also moved away from things like Dream Tan, Pro Tan, Jan Tana, Posing Oils, and smelly Hot Stuff which can just make a mess of the venue. 

Please understand the importance of why we ask these things of our athletes.  

So, If you have already set up your appointments for spray tanning and hair and make up for FA2015, thank you! And thank you for helping us keep this event organized. 

If you have not set up your time than more time slots have opened! Go to the website getglowing.net to book your spray tan appointment. Make sure you hit the FA2015 tab at the top and then you will see a link to book but also an instruction sheet that you SHOULD print out and FOLLOW to make your experience the best it can be!

Here are some important rules that need to be followed or you may be disqualified.

1. You are not to be anywhere in the casino or any other public location in a swimsuit. Keep in mind that you are representing WBFF and at all times you are expected to be dressed professionally. After your spray tan, loose fitting clothes are required, especially right afterwards, however, please keep it classy. Anyone found not following this rule may be disqualified. We do not want to see you anywhere besides the dressing room or on the stage in a swimsuit. 

2. You cannot hire another company and pay anyone to come to the venue and do your tan or make up. Unless you do it yourself at home you must be spray tanned by Get Glowing on Friday at the venue. You must also use Tiffany Larson for makeup and hair services or do your make up by yourself. These teams are experienced and will give you the "look" needed for stage and the only people allowed backstage for touch ups. Anyone found not following this rule may be disqualified.

3. No one is to be applying makeup, lotion, tanning spray, oils, hair products etc...in public, in the audience, around the casino, or in public hotel/casino bathrooms. Anyone found not following this rule will be disqualified immediately. (People found doing any of these things may also get screamed and cursed at by the promoter. Yes, I lose my mind and just go bananas. This event is too much work to ruin it for everyone with such a nice venue. Last year I lost it as someone who was getting brushed with tan product in the theatre. Yet the person couldn't understand why I was upset...)    

4. No trainers or coaches are to provide tanning or beauty services for their team or individual contestants. Anyone found not following this rule may be disqualified, as well as, all the members of their team. (No silly "side deals" allowed. If you are being solicited for business and it isn't official WBFF Fitness Atlantic don't do it. No make shift tanning or make up stations in hotel rooms.)

5. No hiring or bringing your own photographer. The "official" photographer is David Ford - Period. David is absolutely the best at what he does. We cannot express how happy we are to work with David Ford and his team. This also means no professional cameras, flash, or recording devices are permitted by spectators. If anyone asks you to shoot it is not allowed other than David Ford. (Yes, you can take selfies and we encourage cell phone cameras but if someone busts out a big removable lens SLR camera they may be a little shady. Even if it is a well-known photographer but just not associated with this event they are still not allowed here at this time and this venue.)
