Hope you are doing great. As we dial into the final 35 Days before Fitness Atlantic here are a few updates and thoughts... First off the Shaun T INSANITY workout on Sunday is completely sold-out and we packed the entire ballroom with attendees. That is going to be pretty amazing to see if you are able to actually get in to see it. Next is the typical thing with people entering shows. The one question that happens often is - - - "When is the deadline?" Well I always tell
people the advice of - "Just enter". And here is why. It's pretty simple. If you enter and commit life usually becomes easier and you know fully you are doing the event no matter what and you become less stressed. Sometimes it could be the money thing but most cases it's only the
contestant wondering if they will be ready to win. Don't worry many people feel the I'm not ready feeling. I know I never felt ready. So anyway the "official deadline is April 1st" before a $50 late fee gets attached and that completely shuts down a 3-4 days before the show. We also
don't take walk-ins for this event as we want to be as organized as possible and that that just throws a big monkey wrench in everything. We would rather be very organized than try to grab a few extra people and mess it all up. We are not that desperate a few days before the show as I explain below as to why. You may have heard me say this before? The way I became the person who runs this show is because when I entered my first event I sold a ton of tickets and I told everyone at my gym to come and
watch. I never won a show, never had a Pro Card, just simply wanted to do it and wanted people to be part of it with me. Each show I entered I sold average 200 tickets. After doing a few shows the promoter at that time called me and said "Would you like to take my show over? I know you
would be good at it." I was 20 years old and no idea what I was getting myself into... that was the Mr CT show which turned into Fitness Atlantic in 1999. The thing is I never knew it was that uncommon to sell tickets to all the people at my gym along with my friends and family. Maybe you don't know that either but it's true. That is just it though the whole audience is made up of friends and family. You have to enter and to be good you also have to want to win but you still want to be cheered on regardless how you place. Doing a show is a huge accomplishment for everyone. For me it was a very important day and I wanted to share that with a big group of people. If you don't tell everyone you are entering than it is very unlikely you will bring any audience and be cheered on. It's actually a lot more fun with your team and going out to eat afterwards when you make it a big event. I hope you understand that I sincerely mean that and it is very true. This will be one of the most amazing events at an incredible
venue. The production quality will be off the charts. I hope you join us.
